We had our typical busy weekend, games practices driving our kids all over town. We have had to cart Erin all over the place since she no longer has a car. I will be glad for this school year to end, I am already tired of driving Erin and Shannon to and from play/cheer practice. Erin may just have to learn how to drive the van, she could really do some damage with that big tank.

When I got up Saturday I got dressed to run my 8 miles that I am supposed to do for our half marathon training. Last week I did six and had no problems, but eight??? I did fine for the first five but at one point when I realized how far from home I was I considered crying. Instead I walked for a few minutes and ran for a few minutes the rest of the way home. I was bound and determined to finish, no matter what the time. I had just under a mile left and I was waking when Dave pulled up behind me and said, "punkin, do you want a ride home?" I'll punkin you!! Where in the hell were you at mile 5, I'm on the home stretch, shoo fly. I was a little sore when I got home but the good news is I had an empty house. Dave had taken Ryan and Maggie to their games, Kelsey had cheerleading and Lauren and Shannon went to watch Maggie's game. I couldn't wait to soak in a nice hot bath tub. Lucky me, everyone decided to finally show some hygiene and shower before they left and used all the hot water. A girl can dream.

Shannon had her sophomore dance and Lauren took her to get fake nails put on and paid for it. Just when I think they all hate eachother, someone goes and does something nice. My life is always so crazy I sometimes forget that even though my oldest three have already went to their sophomore dance, it is still a big deal to Shannon. Lucky for Shannon, she has a big sister who helped me remember that it is a special day for her. When they got home, I started on Shannon's hair. It took me over two hours to curl it. For having such a tiny little head, she has a ton of hair. She looked beautiful and had a great time. Dave and I spent the rest of the weekend hobbling around like a couple of 40 year olds that decided to act like teenagers and run a half marathon. We were suppossed to run four miles today. I always have been a bit of a rule breaker.
